ICHS is still seeking volunteers for our senior interviews! We discovered our students were underprepared for the real world a few years ago, so we committed to finding real-life experiences through our Capstone Project. This project is in its fifth year, and we have already had good feedback from our graduates.
If you are interested in participating, please fill this out: https://forms.gle/VoVfo6J3mSUkEh4YA or contact Jennifer Durbin at jdurbin@illinicentral.org.

Reminder: Tonight is our FAFSA open house from 4-8 in the cafeteria. This is an event to help fulfill a state graduation requirement for our seniors. This is an optional event. If you are attending, please bring all the necessary paperwork and your child’s chromebook.
Please contact us with any questions or concerns.

On Thursday afternoon, the high school students will be participating in a crash reenactment in the west parking lot. After school pick-up may be a little congested out back, so we would appreciate your help if you could wait until as close to 2:00 as possible to get in line to pick up your student after school. Thank you!

Good Morning,
Corrections from yesterday’s announcement.
Wednesday, the junior and senior classes will attend the Education Fair at the State Fairgrounds in Springfield. This a great opportunity for students to be exposed to post-secondary education options. The student will return to school prior to lunch.
Please let us know if you have any questions.

Just a reminder that Fall School Pictures will be taken this week for our Illini Central students.
The high & middle school students will have their photos taken tomorrow Tuesday, October 4th.
The grade school students will have their photos taken on Wednesday, October 5th.
Have a great day.

On October 6th from 4-8 we will be having a FAFSA open house. The FAFSA is a graduation requirement by the state. FAFSA tells you what you will be awarded financially to apply to college tuition. This is free money. Before each year of college, apply for federal grants, work-study, and loans with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. Your college uses your FAFSA data to determine your federal aid eligibility. Many states and colleges use FAFSA data to award their own aid. This is a great opportunity for you to begin this process and get one thing done towards your graduation requirements. Early graduates, this is especially important for you to complete ASAP. Attached you will find a document that includes all the documents you will need to file your FAFSA.

Good Morning,
Sophomores have a field trip to Morton Industries and ICC on Thursday, September 29th as part of the Capstone Project graduation requirement. Students need to pack a nonperishable lunch for this field trip. If your student forgets his/her lunch, he/she will get a lunch from the cafeteria that morning. Please let Annie Baugher, school counselor, know if you would prefer your student to have a lunch from the cafeteria rather than pack their own lunch. Sophomores will meet in the cafeteria on Thursday morning. We will be leaving promptly at 8:05. Please make sure your student is on time for school that day.
Thank you!
