Illini Central Middle School

Good morning: The State of Illinois requires that students entering Kindergarten, Sixth Grade and Twelfth Grade show proof of specific immunizations. The Mason County Health Department will be on campus on Wednesday, August 4, 20201 to provide these vaccinations for Illini Central students. The Clinic will run from 2-3 pm and will be held in the Health Services Building (Modular 1) on the IC campus. No appointment is necessary.

Tuesday, August 3rd at 6 p.m. Illini Central will be holding the Fall Sports Meeting for parents & athletes. At this meeting, parents & athletes will be able to complete all of the forms to participate in sports during this school year. The meeting will also provide a time for the IC coaches to meet with their athletes' parents. This meeting is for all Fall sports, including ICMS Girls' Basketball. There will be two other meetings held later this year for Winter and Spring sports. All athletes must have an up to date physical on file at the school before they can practice. Attention Middle School Students and Parents: Illini Central PWS Society takes pride in trying to raise as much money as possible to go towards Prader-Willi Syndrome research. We do this because on May 26, 2018, Esme Rose Avart was brought into this world with a rare genetic condition called Prader-Willi Syndrome. Esme is the daughter of Mrs. Avart, our seventh and eighth-grade math teacher. PWS research is extremely important to the people in our school family and our community. This is why we are asking students to raise funds to help the Foundation of Prader-Willi Research (FPWR) find a cure for PWS. Next week, middle school students will have the opportunity to participate in a fundraiser for Prader-Willi Syndrome, Pennies for PWS. Each 2nd hour class has set a fundraising goal and there will be prizes for classes that reach their goal. Students are also invited to pay $1 each day to participate in the dress up days listed below. We are able to accept donations in the form of cash, check (made out to IC) or directly to FPWR at http://act.fpwr.org/goto/penniesforpws. We thank you in advance for your support.
