The Illini Central Board of Education has approved the 2023-2024 academic calendar. The calendar is linked here.
Illinois public school calendars must be approved by a Regional Office of Education. The calendar has been submitted to the Tazewell-Mason-Woodford Regional Office of Education for approval. The district will notify parents, students, and staff when final approval has been granted.
Next year's calendar is very similar to the current one. Staff will report in the third week of August (August 15) for two days of preparation. Students will report for the first day of school on Thursday August 17.
One change is that the district will observe Veterans’ Day on Friday,November 10th. Veteran's day educational programs will still be offered either on the 9th or the 13th.
Winter break is the typical two weeks beginning on December 21st. Teacher will return for an institute day on January 3. Students report on January 4.
Spring Break will run from March 25-April 1. including the Easter holiday..
There will be a day of non-attendance on May 6, 2024.
Barring any emergency day use, the last day of student attendance will be Wednesday, May 22. A teacher institute will be held on May 23.
