Students Helping Food Pantry

During homecoming week, our student body collected approximately 800-1000 items for the local food pantry.  On Thursday October 28th, not only did our Student  Council load up these items for delivery to the food pantry, but an additional 5 or 6 students reached out to ask if they could help.  Even though these were the students who physically delivered the items, the majority of our student body made this happen.

The ladies at the food pantry had no idea what to expect and when they saw this group of students show up with the amount of items they had, they were overwhelmed. They were so appreciative of the amount of items, and also how capable our student body is.

The ladies took a minute to share with them what a huge impact this will have on this community, and they gave them positive affirmations to keep up the good work.

Mrs. Droge stated, "It reminded me that we need to give huge praises to our students when we can so that we can out-shadow the negative. We have great kids and our schools are capable of great things."
