Did you know that students entering kindergarten, 6th and 9th grade must have physicals? Did you know anyone participating in school sports must also have a physical? You can receive a free physical in Lincoln! More details about the free event are on the graphic.

Due to a conflict, the times for the Illini Central Open House have changed. The open house for high school, middle school & grade school will now take place from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The date remains the same Tuesday, August 13th.

Teachers will share with their students on the 1st day of school if additional items are needed based on the needs in those classes. Remember these important dates on the Illini Central calendar: July 18th: Online Registration Begins at 8 a.m. August 1st: In Person Registration at 2 p.m. August 7th: 6th Grade Orientation at 6 p.m. August 8th: Freshmen Orientation at 6 p.m. August 13th: Open House in the HS, MS & GS from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. August 14th: 1st Day of Student Attendance This is a 2:00 p.m. dismissal day. The ICGS PTO is partnering with 1st Day School supplies to make school supply shopping easy for our Pre-k to 5th grade parents. The student’s supplies get shipped to the school prior to open house and they will be in their classrooms waiting for them that night. $5 from each kit that is ordered goes to support the ICGS PTO. Chromebook turn in begins tomorrow, Friday May 24th. The 8th grade students will be turning their device & charger in during class with Mrs. Giesler. The Juniors, Sophomores & Freshmen who will not be taking Final exams next week need to turn their device & charger into my room before they leave tomorrow. Any students in the high school who will be taking Finals should drop their device & charger off whether on Tuesday or Wednesday when are done for the year. The 5th graders will be turning their devices & chargers in on Wednesday morning, May 29th. Today, the construction crew began demolition on the middle and high school office to prepare for a new secure entry! Currently the office staff are sharing a cozy classroom space for the summer.

Students are so excited about the annual ICGS Field Day, sponsored by the ICGS PTO! We're still looking for some parent/guardian volunteers to help the PTO put on this outstanding event. We extended the deadline to gather interest sheets until this Friday afternoon. A big day on the construction site… the concrete for the gym floor is being poured today! The final gym floor will be wood, but the concretehas to be done first.The mezzanine (for the air handler unit) was also poured this week. It’s looking more and more like a school!

Sign ups have started for Lady Cougar Volleyball Camp. The camp will be open to students currently in grades K-7. Forms were sent home with the ICGS students.
