Book Blast

ICGS Book Blast Launches Today!

Exciting news! The Grade School has partnered with Books Are Fun and their Book Blast program to help build our students' home libraries! Our first Book Blast program was last year, and over $18,000 was raised to send all of our students, grades 1-5, home with books for their personal libraries. We hope to have similar or bigger results this year! Today our students learned about the Book Blast program and the importance of having their own books at home. Tonight, we ask you to take 7 minutes to help build your child's home library.

In order to register for the event, you'll need to follow these steps:
Click on this link https://bookblast.booksarefun.com/IlliniCGS62664/ or scan the QR code on your child's Treasure Map.
Register & invite 10+ friends/family members who would like to support your child's love of books. Your child will receive prizes at school if at least 10 contacts are entered. All the information you are providing is secure and used ONLY for this event.
We're also giving away 4 Treasure Chests and an iPad! In order to be entered into those drawings, you'll want to register and invite 15+friends/family members. All the information you are providing is secure and used ONLY for this event.
This program is so awesome, and I hope that you'll consider supporting it! It's guaranteed to put new, age-appropriate books in the hands of every student at ICGS, regardless of personal funds raised. 100% of all contributions go toward new books and classroom supplies/books. Books will be delivered to the school a few weeks after the event ends.

More books in your homes equals more pages being ready and a greater likelihood of success in school. That's the goal. We're hoping for 100% participation. Thank you for helping our students and our school! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to your child's homeroom teacher or to Mrs. Carey (ccarey@illinicentral.org).
