What a beautiful Fall Friday...for Illini Central Sports! The Lady Cougars volleyball team heads to the Riverton Classic this afternoon & back again in the morning. The ICMS girls' basketball teams head back to Lincoln Carroll Catholic this afternoon with the 8th grade playing for the Championship & the 7th grade hopefully for a share of the title as well. Our Illini Central student/athletes are right back at it today. Here's what we have on the schedule: The ICMS girls' basketball teams head back to the Lincoln Carroll Catholic Tourney for games with Chester East. The ICHS golf team has their final match of the season at County Hills. The ICMS Cross Country teams run in Bartonville at Alpha Park. The Lady Cougar volleyball team plays host to Tomahawk Conference rival Delavan tonight in the Cougar Den. Tonight, the ICMS Girls' basketball team gets their season started going as they travel to Lewistown for their game v. the Lady Indians. Wishing the Lady Cougars well this evening! #WeAreIC

Tonight's middle school girls' basketball game in Lewistown will begin at 5:30 instead of 6 p.m. The bus will leave Mason City at 4:15. Sorry for the inconvenience. #WeAreIC

Today (9-28-19) our ICHS Cougar Golfers set off to compete in the annual 18 hole Porta Invite at Shambollee Golf Course. The par for today was 72. Teams involved were Greenview/Athens, Illini Central, PORTA,Jacksonville Routt, Havana, Camp Point, Tremont, and Mt. Pulaski. IC placed fourth overall. All of the players played REALLY well today! Hunter Harrison led our team by shooting an 87 which also earned him a 6th place medal for golfers overall. Kase Renken was right behind him with an 89 and Carter Martin with a 91. This is Hunters first golf medal! He started out frustrated with himself but turned it all around and pulled through with some great shots and played a great game. (He even got stung by a wasp half way through!) Our current record is 30-20. One more week of regular season meets then we are off to Regionals! #WeAreIC

Bailie tees off around 7:36 this morning. We are proud of you, Bailie! Also the ICHS Volleyball team is heading to the Clinton Classic this morning for that tournament. Today, we only have one event on the IC Sports calendar. The ICMS Softball girls head to Petersburg for their 1st round game v. the Lady Bluejays from PORTA. Wishing the Lady Cougars well as their Regional begins.

We have a number of things on the schedule for today in the Illini Central Sports world. The ICHS Golf team plays at Four Willows. The ICHS Cross Country team runs in Rushville. The ICMS baseball team travels to Plains. #WeAreIC

ICMS/GJHS cross country at the Rochester Invite. The girls team finished in 16th place and the boys team was 20th.

ICMS Girls’ Basketball practice begins this Monday, September 9th after school until 5 in the IC cafeteria. Here are some important items to note as we get started. - Softball girls are not expected to practice until their season comes to an end. - Cross Country girls will come to practice following their workout with Coach Newell. Those same girls will always go to a CC meet when they fall on the same day as practice. - Practice is mandatory for all other athletes who want to play this season. - Practice jerseys will be handed out sometime next week. Shorts & a t-shirt are needed for practice on Monday. - No one can practice without an up to date sports physical on file at the school. Please make sure these are turned in. - There will be a mandatory parent meeting on September 24th in the IC Cafeteria at 6:30 p.m. to cover things for the upcoming season. This is one of the 1st open nights that did not conflict with another sport.
