It was a good night for our Lady Cougars last night in a couple of sports. The HS Volleyball team went on the road and defeated Auburn in two sets to pick up a Sangamo Conference win. The JV team also came away with a win in three sets. The 8th grade girls basketball team picked up a victory over Midwest Central last night as well. We have a couple sporting events on the calendar for this evening. The ICMS/Greenview Lady Cougar basketball team hosts the Lady Raiders from Midwest Central in Mason City. Tip time for the 7th grade game is 6 p.m. The Lady Cougar volleyball team takes the long bus ride to Auburn for their Sangamo Conference matches v. the Lady Trojans. The Winter sports meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 20 at 6:00 PM in the gymnasium. This is a great time to complete all paperwork needed for the upcoming season. Winter sports coaches will be reaching out if there is a parent meeting scheduled for that night as well. Any family that attended the Fall sports meeting and completed the paperwork does not need to attend this meeting. Three events on the Illini Central sports calendar for today. The ICHS/Greenview Cross Country team will be running in the Sangamo Conference meet in Petersburg starting at 4:30 p.m. The ICMS/Greenview Lady Cougars basketball teams will be hosting Mt. Pulaski in Easton with tip time for the 7th grade game set for 6 p.m. The Lady Cougar volleyball teams take on the Lady Bluejays from PORTA in Mason City with the 1st serve of the JV match at 6 p.m. Wishing all of our student athletes well. #WeAreIC #BeJimmy

Two Words: State Bound Congratulations to Illini Central Sophomore Bailie Krause for advancing to the IHSA State Golf Meet that will be held this coming Friday & Saturday in Decatur. The tee times are yet to be announced. We could not be more proud of you, Bailie! #WeAreIC #BeJimmy

School history was made today as Bailie Krause shoots a 90 to advance to State! Bailie is the first ICHS girl golfer to be a State Qualifier and she is only a sophomore. Bailie would tell you that she could have played better than she did today, and she can, but she was good enough today! She always found a way to make a big shot when needed and showed tremendous poise. Bailie will tee off on Friday and Saturday in Decatur. Illini Central schools will dismiss at 2:00 for Parent-Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, October 6 and Thursday October 7, 2021. This early dismissal will allow time for our teachers to prepare for the conferences which run from 4 to 8pm.

The Illini Central Track and Cross Country teams are selling Apple Cider Donuts from Tanner's Orchard. The cost is $15 a dozen and they will be picked up and delivered before Thanksgiving.
