Megan Hughes, 8th grade, is the daughter of Brian and Natalie Hughes. Megan lives in San Jose and she participates in basketball, softball, track, and volleyball at Illini Central Middle School.
Her favorite sports memory so far at ICMS is winning the Carroll Catholic girls basketball tournament when she was in 6th grade. As a student, Megan enjoys math class.
When asked why sports are important to her, Megan said, “Sports are important to me because it makes me feel like I belong. They also make me feel happy.” When she is not busy with sports, her favorite hobby is social media.
Megan’s favorite movie is Inside Out, and her favorite food is salad. Her favorite quote is, “If you have the opportunity to play this game called life, you have to appreciate every moment. A lot of people don't appreciate their moment until it's passed.”’ -Kanye West
ICMS appreciates all of the time and effort Megan has put into sports during her career and look forward to following her career in high school. You can catch Megan and her teammates on the basketball floor this Fall.
